Questions ?

Arrival and Departure

  • Visa Requirements: Check the visa requirements before traveling to Thailand, as they vary depending on your nationality and the length of your stay. When you arrive in Thailand you get a visa on arrival for 30 days at the passport control. If you don’t plan to stay more than that, you are fine. You can always extend your stay in the local immigration office in Koh Phangan for an extra 30 days.
  • How to get there ?: There are a few ways to come to Koh Phangan, but the easiest is to flight to Koh Samui airport (USM). As soon as you come out of baggage claim at USM, go to the taxi booth and tell them where you would like to go. They will arrange either a shared ride or a private ride for you. Payments are to be made in Thai Bahts (THB).
  • Ferry ride: the taxi can to take you to the closest pier (Lomprayah Bangrak Pier is closest, then Maenam Pier and furthest port is Nathon Pier) or whichever pier you are departing from if you purchased your ferry ticket in advance. The ferry ride from Koh Samui to Thong Sala Pier takes 25-30 minutes. Ferries are available between 8:00 – 16:30. You can either purchase your ferry ticket online ahead of time using this website https://12go.asia or purchase your ferry ticket outside of baggage claim at the Koh Samui Airport after you land.
  • Pick up : Once you arrive at Koh Phangan - Thong Sala Pier, one of our team members will be waiting for you at the Thong Sala pier with a sign saying “Wonderland” – they will pick you and bring you to the resort as long as you inform them with your arrival time, ferry company and port of departure (24 hours in advance).
  • From Thong Sala Pier, all the taxi drivers know Wonderland, and the ride is not expensive.

Regarding the workshop, you just need confortable clothes and yourself. You can choose to bring sunscreen as it is quite expensive on the island and perhaps a poncho in case there is any rain if you venture outside of the resort. You can also choose to bring comfortable shoes to slip on and off as you will need to remove your shoes before entering yoga shallas, restaurants and any other establishments.
  • The Dorm rooms are mixed gender. However, we asked them to gather participants of the workshop together as much as possible. If you would like to change dorm rooms once you arrive, ask Wonderland and they will do our best to accommodate you in a single-gender dorm room.
  • The closest beach is 5-10 minutes away from the resort and there are a few ways you can get there: Taxi – 100-150 THB per person / Rent motorbike – 200 THB per day / Rent bicycle at Wonderland – no charge.
  • The private rooms have a safe to store your personal belongings. In the dorms you are welcome to use a personal locker for your valuables, but it’s also possible to use the safe at reception.

Trainings

  • Is it a problem if my English is not fluent ? The workshop will be taught in English, but a lot of our attendees over the last years did not have English as their first language, and it has never posed a problem.
  • How many people will take part in the Intensive ? We will take a maximum of 13 sign ups for this intensive, with two teachers. This ensures the quality of teaching as well as enough space to fit everyone comfortably.
  • How much training will there be ? Over the last years, we have perfected the amount of handstand and strength and flexibility training we do over the week. The workshop will be 2 sessions of 3h per day (1 session only on first and last day). Each day is different, and as such we couple the physically more challenging exercices with less challenging parts to make sure each participant can enjoy the full week of training. However, since the group can be diverse in terms of training capacity, there is always room for extra training, just as there is freedom for others to respect their limitations and sit back to take notes if training gets too intense.
  • We will be using the White Rabbit Shalla as our base for practice, it has walls and A/C. However, we will also have few classes in an outdoor shalla and in a bigger indoor shalla.
